Dr Andreas Hadjigeorgiou, Senior Associate at Michael Chambers & Co. LLC, will moderate a panel at Cyprus Forum 2026, joining a discussion on missing-person investigations, police policy, and accountability.
The panel, titled “Missing-Person Investigations after the Metaxas Case: Risk Signals, Police Policy, and Accountability”, will take place on 30 September 2026, at The Landmark Nicosia.
The discussion will examine how missing-person investigations can be strengthened through better risk assessment, case escalation procedures, data sharing, supervisory review, family communication, and institutional accountability. It will also address the lessons arising from the Metaxas case and the importance of recognising risk factors associated with vulnerability, migration status, gender, and potential institutional bias.
