Dr Andreas Hadjigeorgiou, Senior Associate at Michael Chambers & Co. LLC, will co-moderate a panel at Cyprus Forum 2026, joining a discussion on missing-person investigations, police policy, and accountability.
The panel, titled “Missing-Person Investigations after the Metaxas Case: Risk Signals, Police Policy, and Accountability”, will take place on 30 September 2026, at The Landmark Nicosia.
The discussion will examine the operational and oversight reforms required for risk assessment, case escalation, data linkage, supervisory review, family communication, and transparent accountability in missing-person investigations.
The panel will also consider the lessons arising from the Metaxas case and the importance of identifying risk signals where vulnerability, migration status, gender, or institutional bias may affect the response to a missing-person report.
Dr Hadjigeorgiou will co-moderate the discussion alongside Andreas Paschalourides, Member of Parliament, guiding an exchange with participants from law enforcement, research, journalism, filmmaking, and the legal profession.
The session is part of the wider Cyprus Forum 2026 programme. It offers professionals from different fields an opportunity to discuss how policy, procedure, and institutional accountability can contribute to more effective missing-person investigations.
