Tanya Rawat

Tanya Rawat is an Associate specializing in criminal law and litigation, recognized for her strategic approach, meticulous case preparation, and unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. She regularly appears before the District Courts, Assize Courts, and Courts of Appeal across Cyprus, representing clients in complex and high-profile criminal cases. Her extensive experience encompasses a broad spectrum of criminal matters, from routine offenses to the most challenging and high-stakes cases.

Tanya holds an LL.B. from the Democritus University of Thrace, with a focus on Criminal Law. She completed advanced coursework in criminal procedure, criminology, investigative techniques, penitentiary law, juvenile justice, and specialized criminal legislation, including laws governing narcotics, arms, and crimes against honor and currency. Tanya was an active member of ELSA Komotini (European Law Students’ Association), which provided her with invaluable exposure to international legal practice and cross-border collaboration.

Her legal career began at the Office of the Attorney General of Cyprus, where she trained and subsequently served at the Limassol Public Prosecutor’s Office. In this capacity, she was directly involved in the prosecution of serious criminal cases, gaining invaluable experience in case investigation, preparation, and trial presentation. In 2022, Tanya transitioned to private practice, focusing exclusively on criminal law within a leading law firm, where she continued to represent clients before all levels of criminal courts. She rejoined our firm in 2024, where her primary focus remains on criminal litigation.

In addition to her criminal law expertise, Tanya provides advisory services in real estate and property transactions, wills, succession, and estate administration. She has acted on a variety of significant property transactions across Cyprus, overseeing all aspects from due diligence and contract drafting to representation before the Land Registry and the successful completion of property transfers. Her comprehensive understanding of real estate law ensures that her clients receive pragmatic, efficient, and solutions-oriented legal advice.

Tanya also offers extensive immigration services, specializing in citizenship applications for clients seeking to acquire Cypriot citizenship, either through investment, marriage, or long-term residence. She provides expert guidance on navigating the complex procedures involved in these applications, ensuring compliance with the relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, Tanya advises on various other immigration matters, including residency permits and the legal rights of foreign nationals in Cyprus. Her thorough understanding of the immigration process allows her to support clients in achieving their goals in a timely and efficient manner.
